PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 14-year-old was shot in Northwest Portland Saturday afternoon but is expected to recover, police told KOIN 6 News.
The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m. at Northwest 6th and Glisan. Officers found the teen wounded and applied a tourniquet to help stop the bleeding before he was rushed by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
The shooter remains at large and the case is now being investigated by the Enhanced Community Safety Team. It’s unclear at this time what led to the shooting.

Since January 2021 through February 2022, there were about 45 shootings reported in Old Town. So far this year, 2 people were slain in Old Town, one of which was a shooting.
