HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN) – Criminal mischief, trespassing and potentially theft.
Those are just some of charges Hillsboro police could have filed on Monday night.
The trespassers were found around 8 p.m. after police got 2 anonymous tips near Northeast Brookwood Parkway and Northwest Meek Road.
Patrol officers showed up and found 2 goats near Topgolf.
Police spokesperson Lt. Henry Reimann thinks the goats may have been headed to the golf venture to start eating some grass.
The entry to private property could have constituted the trespassing — potentially burglary. Damage to any property would result in criminal mischief allegations and the goats would have been on the hook for theft if they took anything.
Police were able to corral the goats and put them in a patrol car.
They were taken to the Bonnie L. Hays Animal Shelter. Fortunately, the owner of the goats has been contacted.
The shelter posted on update on Facebook saying the owner be picking up the goats soon — whose names are Thelma and Louise.
