PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Beaverton man was arrested for sex crimes after a sting operation by the Beaverton Police Department.

The Washington County District Attorney’s Office said David Andrade-Arroyo was caught talking to an undercover detective who he believed was a 15-year-old girl. He arranged to meet with her to have sex and sent a sexually explicit photo.

On May 3, 2018, when Andrade-Arroyo arrived at their meeting place, he was arrested. He denied intentions to have sex with the person he believed was a teenager, the DA’s office said.

Andrade-Arroyo was convicted of first-degree online sex corruption and two counts of luring a minor on April 17.

He will be sentenced on June 21, 2019.
