PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A convicted pimp was sentenced to 210 months in prison in Multnomah County after he forced a victim into prostitution.
Portland police said Moncello L. James, 32, was found guilty in January of 5 counts of compelling prostitution and 15 counts promoting prostitution.
He had been convicted of pimping and pandering in California before his arrest in Oregon.
James was arrested after human trafficking detectives worked with a victim, who he forced into prostitution even while he was being held in the Multnomah County Jail for an unrelated crime.
