PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 30-year-old inmate is on the loose after Marion County deputies he jumped a fence outside the transition center in Salem.
Deputies said after Jesse Guajardo jumped the fence, he got into a car waiting nearby. Officials found the car at home in the 4700 block of Whitman Cir NE, however, Guajardo then fled on foot.
Despite searching with K-9 units, deputies have not yet found Guajardo, who was in custody for a parole violation. He’s described as a Hispanic man from the Salem area. He’s 5-foot-9, 130 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.
The driver of the car — Kendra Olvera — was taken into custody for her role in the incident. The 24-year-old was booked into the Marion County Jail on the charges of unauthorized departure and driving while suspended.
