FAIRVIEW, Ore. (KOIN) — The suspect in a shooting that left one person dead at a house in Fairview remains on the loose Tuesday night, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting in the 600 block of Lincoln Street happened around 7 p.m.
A multi-agency response arrived at the scene, including a SWAT unit, to search the home and set up a perimeter. Around 11 p.m. that perimeter was being removed and neighbors were more free to move around.
No one was found in the home.
Although officials with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office would not confirm this, multiple neighbors told KOIN 6 News they heard gunshots from a known-problem house, a house police were called to on Monday night.
The victim has not been publicly identified.
KOIN 6 News will have more information as it develops.
