GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — A 21-year-old driver was arrested after he fled on foot during a traffic stop late Saturday night, officers said.
Gresham police said East Metro Gang Enforcement officers conducted the stop at Southeast 162nd Avenue and Stark Street.
The driver — later identified as Thomas Graham of Portland — and his passenger fled the vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, Graham was taken into custody.
The passenger — a black male — was not found. He’s described as being in his late teens to early 20s, 5-foot-10, thin build and wearing dark clothing.
Officers found 3 guns in the car. The 4th one was ditched by the passenger when he was being chased, police said.
The officers also found drugs and cash.
Graham is charged with 3 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, 3 counts of felon in possession of a firearm, DCS cocaine, interesting with a police officer and attempt elude on foot.
