Police had the area taped off for several hours while detectives collected evidence.

Yvette Wilson, who works at The Peace House told KOIN 6 News she found the victim when she showed up for work Monday morning.

“I ran in the house and said somebody’s laying in the driveway I don’t know if he’s dead or alive but I said he ain’t moving,” Wilson said.

Wilson said the victim was homeless and that he had been living in a mini-van that had been parked in the neighborhood for a few months. She also said the victim was a “jack of all trades” and helped out around the house on occasion.

“He was a really good guy. Homeless, but he was really sweet, so it’s just sad,” Wilson said.

No suspect information was immediately released. Police said they would release the name of the victim after his family has been notified.

The investigation is ongoing.
