PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was shot and killed in Southeast Portland’s Mill Park neighborhood.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the 500 block of Southeast 128th Avenue just after 6 a.m. on Friday. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found one man dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was later identified as 41-year-old Joshua Newell and his death was ruled a homicide.

PPB says the suspect or suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. No arrests have been made.
