The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said Michael Ramirez is accused of killing 44-year-old Sergey Peshkov and 18-year-old Lorenzo Gordon.

Peshkov was found dead outside his home on SE Reedway in Lents around 7:30 a.m. on May 24.

“I don’t know why he is out there taking innocent peoples’ lives,” Peshkov’s former girlfriend Sharon Mathnay said.

She said Peshkov was working on restoring his car and was walking to get a part when he was shot.

“I’m really jumpy about things, noises, dogs bark, anybody walks down the street because you never know,” Mathnay said. “You don’t know who is going to be next. He was innocent he didn’t do anything to anybody.”

She said their dog howls for him every night.

Lorenzo Gordon, 18, was found fatally shot in the parking lot of the Springtree Apartments the following night.

Avaria Spurill lives at the complex and has been worried about the safety of people who visit here there.

“I fear for their safety more than mine and so hearing that he is gone makes me feel better about them coming over,” Spurill said.

Ramirez was arrested in Gresham on May 26 and now faces two counts of murder with a firearm and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

His arraignment is scheduled for June 18.

The DA’s office did not provide information about the evidence that led investigators to Ramirez.
