PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A murder investigation is underway in The Dalles, the police department announced Thursday.
Just before 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, The Dalles police received a 911 call alerting them to the incident.
According to court documents, Jacob Wilson, 32, stabbed Amber Tracy with a kitchen knife leading to her death.
The documents also allege that Wilson assaulted Tracy’s mother Tamera Viers by striking her with a coffee cup and then attacking her with the knife.
Wilson faces one count of murder, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of fourth-degree assault and one count of menacing.
Several local law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation. No other information was immediately released.
