SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) – Police are looking for a Rohnert Park man who they say might have taken off with his two daughters in apparent violation of a court order.
The Press Democrat reports that authorities say 45-year-old Everett Dean Reep picked up his daughters from an after-school program on Tuesday after a Mendocino County judge gave him temporary custody.
The judge rescinded the custody order Wednesday after Reep had already vanished with the girls.
Reep is an unemployed electrician with a criminal history. The girls’ mother has a restraining order against him.
Rohnert Park Police Sgt. Jeff Justice says Reep was pulled over in Oregon Wednesday evening, but the trooper let him continue after he said he was on his way to Washington state to visit his father.
