JEFFERSON, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Crime scenes that “spread from Jefferson to Millersburg” landed a 35-year-old man in jail, Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

Evan Anderson was arrested after allegedly kicking in his ex-girlfriend’s door to confront her and her new boyfriend. Once he was inside, investigators said he fired two shots: one at the ceiling and another into the floor.

After Anderson left, the victim’s mother came by to check on the residence. Upon hearing that her daughter had been shot at, the mother drove to Anderson’s home to confront him. Anderson was outside switching vehicles at the time, and as he left he rammed the victim’s mother’s vehicle with his truck.

Nearly 30 minutes after the initial disturbance, 911 was called. Oregon State Troopers located Anderson on Enchanted Way SE near I-5. He was stopped and taken into custody without incident.

At the time of his arrest, Anderson had his 14-month-old son with him in the car. Detectives believe the child was with him the entire time. The child was taken by DHS and placed with family members.

Anderson is being held at Marion County Jail and will be arraigned Monday on charges of first degree burglary, menacing and felony possession of a firearm.
