RAINIER, Ore. (KOIN) — Friends and family members gathered to remember a young woman found dead alongside a road in Rainier.
Sarah Zuber was found by her sister just feet away from her home on March 13. Sarah’s sister happened to spot the 18-year-old as she drove down Neer City Road, then turned around and called for help.
Officials initially said Sarah’s body bore no obvious physical injuries. It’s still unclear what caused her death.
Those who knew Sarah held a vigil Wednesday evening at Rainier City Park. Dozens of people gathered to remember the girl who died far too young.
