HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A woman suspected of causing a Hillsboro power outage early Tuesday is now behind bars in Washington County.
Breanna Castelluccio was taken into custody after she allegedly hit a power pole while driving drunk on Tualatin Valley Highway around 1 a.m., Hillsboro police told KOIN 6 News.
She fled the scene but was found about four blocks away from the crash site at 73rd and TV Highway, police said.
The crash caused the loss of power for about 3400 PGE customers, and repairs on the pole could take “the better part of the day,” officials said.
Castelluccio, 22, faces DUII and hit-and-run charges.
