PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Two people have been detained following an early morning robbery in Southeast Portland, officials confirm. One of the suspects was found hiding on a rooftop.

Police confirm the robbery was reported shortly after 3 a.m. on Friday in the 5200 block of Southeast Foster Road at Fantasyland Adult Video.

As officers were responding to the business, police say they spotted a suspicious vehicle in the area of Southeast 74th and Southeast Martins. The vehicle did not immediately stop. Police confirm that evidence inside the car appears to match what was reported from the robbery. Additional evidence was found in the 7300 block of SE Martins Street.

A woman was detained by officers following the traffic stop and is being taken to the bureau’s detective division.

Police say during the robbery a weapon was shown and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

The Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) reports at the height of the incident, 30 police units responded to help with the search . Officers from all three of Portland Police Bureau’s three main precincts responded, as well as officers from Gresham Police.

Police deployed two K-9 units.

There have been no reported injuries, officers on scene confirm.
