WILMINGTON, North Carolina (WDTN) – The first deaths of Hurricane Florence were confirmed Friday.
Wilmington Police responded to a report of a tree that fell onto a house on Mercer Avenue.
A mother and infant were inside the home at the time and have died.
The infant’s father was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
