PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 51-year-old man has been arrested in Multnomah County on charges of animal abuse.
The Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Crime Unit arrested Fidel Lopez on Wednesday. He was charged with sex assault of an animal and first-degree aggravated animal abuse and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.
The investigation first started on Dec. 4, 2018, officials said.
Detectives were aided by veterinarians, forensic analysts and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
No further details were released and the investigation is ongoing.
