PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A manhunt was underway for a man who allegedly fired multiple shots from his truck, hitting one man Saturday afternoon in Vernonia.
The suspect, 37-year-old Gregory Reynolds, remains at large. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said Reynolds opened fire around 3 p.m. in the 58000 block of Kirk Road, wounding Lewis Cochrane. The 45-year-old man was taken to OHSU for treatment, but his exact condition has not been released.
Reynolds truck, a 2-toned red-white Ford pickup, was found at his residence at 58442 S. Nehalem Highway. The truck was impounded but investigators aren’t sure if he has another vehicle or took off on foot.
Reynolds, 6-feet-1 and 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes, should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen wearing dirty blue jeans and a dark-colored jacket.
Authorities said Reynolds is wanted on several felony warrants unrelated to this shooting.
