MEDFORD, Ore. (KOIN) – A woman with a blood alcohol content of .24% told police she didn’t regret trying to kill the father of her children using a meat cleaver, according to court documents.

Julie Clement is charged in the incident that happened November 12 in Medford. According to court documents, she told police that she wanted to kill the biological father of her children. The two were reportedly involved in a fight.

Clement went to the kitchen, grabbed a meat cleaver and “slit [the victim’s] throat,” according to court documents.

Officers have video of Clement saying she didn’t feel bad about what she did, according to records.

She is charged with attempted murder, attempted 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, 4th-degree assault and recklessly endangering. She remains in custody and is due back in court this month.
