PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) —A 15-year-old girl is safe Tuesday after spending the night on Mount St. Helens.
Skamania County officials said Katrina Osborne from the Longview/Kelso area was watching the eclipse with her parents near the Lahar Viewpoint on Monday when she got separated from them.
Crews conducted searches throughout the night with the help of the King County Sheriff’s Office. 30 ground searchers, two dog teams and air support were involved.
Officials announced that the Volcano Rescue Team found her early Tuesday in good condition near the Smith Creek Trailhead.
