HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN) — Authorities found the husband of a murdered woman dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a Hillsboro home Wednesday night.
Tactical teams moved in on the home to serve a warrant related to the death of Tricia Carver, whose body was found near St. Paul Monday. Inside, they found her husband Lemarr Carver dead, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. It’s unclear how long he had been there.
Lemarr Carver was the primary person of interest in his wife’s death, deputies said.
“This is terrible, we have two families reeling,” the spokesperson for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

Carver, 47, was found dead in a field along near NE Vachter Road and River Road. An autopsy confirmed her identity and her death was ruled a homicide. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team were at the home and could be heard making announcements over a loudspeaker, demanding Lemarr Carver come out. They used at least two flash bangs before moving in and finding Carver dead.

Some of her friends told KOIN 6 News Carver had been staying with her mother in Albany since separating from her husband, a Beaverton defense attorney. She has an adult son, according to friends.
Carver was last heard from around 5 p.m. Sunday, her friends said. They launched a missing persons campaign on social media. One friend told KOIN 6 News it was very unusual for Tricia not to have contact with her loved ones.
She was officially reported missing to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office on Monday. That same day, around 7 a.m., a driver spotted her body in a field off a gravel country road near St. Paul.
‘Genuine, nice person’
Angela Werner, Tricia’s friend for the past 18 years, lives in Newport. She said Tricia was a kind and fun-loving person with a good soul.
Tricia, she said, was always smiling and everyone was excited to talk with her.
“She just was always a genuine, nice person,” Werner told KOIN 6 News. “She was always giving to people, so I think she had a very good soul.”
