VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — CRESA, the police and fire dispatch center in Clark County, has a new, non-emergency phone number.
311 should be used for things like abandoned vehicles, noise complaints, parking issues or other routine complaints where safety is not an issue. All medical calls should still go to 911.
CRESA’s Emergency Management Coordinator, Eric Frank, said there is no non-emergency number in Clark County. All calls are coming into 911. This new number will be answered by the same dispatchers and will allow them to prioritize calls.
Frank said they are doing a soft roll out of the number right now, but it should be fully operational by the end of the month.
