PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — More than 1,000 people across the Portland metro area were without power for a time on Monday.

Portland General Electric reported 400 people were experiencing an outage as of 5 p.m. due to downed trees near SE 34th and Reed College Place. PGE initially reported crews would have the power back on by mid-morning but since pushed back that estimate to 6 p.m.

Another outage was reported at 6:30 a.m. that impacted about 460 people in Northeast Portland. That outage has since been resolved.

As of 10:30 a.m., several outages have popped up across the Willamette Valley, spanning from Gresham to McMinnville.

In the early morning hours, Pacific Power and Clark Public Utilities were reporting less than a handful of outages in the metro area. Now, at 10:30 a.m. more than 50 Clark Public Utilities customers are in the dark.
