PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Five people identified as members of the Brood street gang were arrested early Thursday when Portland police raided spots in Southeast Portland.

Neighbor complaints led to a police investigation that ended with the arrests of John C. Phillips, Kyleah M. Hegre, Donald R. Michaels, Shawna Rodriguez and Charles O’Neil.

A house and an apartment in the 5300 block of SE 122nd were searched. Investigators said they found meth, scales, packaging material, a stolen vehicle and ID theft items.

The 5 arrested — ranging in age from 20 to 47 — face a variety of charges. Police said the Brood members were not only selling meth but stealing cars and trying to take over the property.
