PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A former detective in northwest Oregon was sentenced to six years in prison after he was convicted of charges including robbery, burglary, theft and money laundering.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports 60-year-old Floyd William Marsh Jr. was found guilty in August for his role in a home robbery in Wilsonville in October 2011.
Authorities say Marsh and another man broke into a home, shot a woman with a stun gun, tied her up and placed her in a closet. Authorities say the men targeted a safe, stealing about $40,000 in silver coins and other valuables.
Marsh was a detective in the property crimes unit of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office for about 25 years. He retired in 2007.
