HEALDSBURG (KRON) — The saga of the missing hammer in Healdsburg continues.

On Monday morning, employees at the city’s community center have found a 3-foot nail outside the building.

The giant metal nail had the word “bait” etched on the top, and it was placed in the same place where the 21-foot wooden hammer was stolen in early October.

Officials don’t know who is responsible for placing the nail there but suspect it is some kind of prank.

The artist of the 800-pound hammer has offered a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
