PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The father of a 6-year-old and his domestic partner who were arrested Saturday in connection with the child’s death are not currently facing charges and as of Monday were not in custody.

Robby-Joe Alexander Davenport, 29, and his domestic partner, Cierra Wiedner, 25, were booked on first degree criminal mistreatment, Salem police said. But on Monday, neither one was in jail.

They were arrested about a day after paramedics found the child unresponsive when they were called to a home in the 600 block of 18th Street SE around 8:45 a.m. The child was rushed by ambulance to Salem Health but died at the hospital, authorities said.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office completed the autopsy, officials said, but the results and cause of death were not released.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
