PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A second man has been indicted in connection with a November murder in Southeast Portland.
The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday that John Allen Hughes, 51, was indicted for unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and murder with a firearm months after 52-year-old Robert Kaiser was found shot to death.
Shawn Kevin McGinnis, 55, was arrested three days after the shooting. He remains in custody and is also facing murder charges.
Kaiser was found shot to death shortly after 11 p.m. on Nov. 10.
Hughes was arraigned on Wednesday and will appear in court again on July 3.
McGinnis’ next court appearance is scheduled for April 29, 2019.
