PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was killed and another man was injured in a Friday morning crash involving two vehicles on Highway 26 in Boring.
Authorities in Clackamas County say state police troopers and emergency responders arrived at the scene on Highway 26 at SE Stone Road just after 6 a.m.
According to authorities, the preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford F250, driven by 33-year-old Trevor Lee, was heading west at a high rate of speed when it hit the back of a GMC Sierra.
Lee was rushed to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the GMC, identified as 23-year-old Grant Fisher of Boring, was declared dead after being taken to a hospital.
After his release from the hospital, Lee was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of criminally negligent homicide, manslaughter, reckless driving and DUII.
A stretch of the highway was closed for several hours and investigators said they were looking for witnesses.
