PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman whose body was found in a Beaverton house under suspicious circumstances died by homicide.

According to Beaverton police, the medical examiner believes the victim was 29-year-old Amy N. Low, but “due to the condition of the body when discovered,” positive identification has been difficult.

The body was found on November 17 after police were called to the home at 12120 SW Allen Boulevard around 8:45 p.m.

Several people were staying at the house and talked to police. Police have not released any information about suspects in the case.

The home, which is in an area with few single-family homes, is dilapidated and has a “no trespassing” sign outside. Neighbors told KOIN 6 News it has a sketchy feel and is a magnet for drug activity.

One neighbor said the night before the police showed up, there was a large bonfire in the backyard and detectives were seen rummaging through the rubble.

KOIN 6 News reached out to Low’s family, but did not hear back.
