‘Track suit bandits’ suspected of 8 armed robberies

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Three teenagers and one 20-year-old, a group police are calling the “track suit bandits,” are being connected to 8 armed robberies across Portland, Milwaukie and Gresham.

Police believe Lamarr Juan Luster, 19, Kobe Branden Cordray, 20, Antonio Trayvontae Montgomery, 18, and a 17-year-old — who KOIN 6 News isn’t naming due to the fact he’s a minor — are responsible for armed robberies stemming from Dec. 9 through Jan. 21.

The investigation into the group began after 2 separate arrests in January.

On Jan. 12, Montgomery was arrested during a traffic stop and found with 2 firearms. He was charged with 2 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, among other firearm related charges.

Then, on Jan. 21, Luster, Cordray and the 17-year-old were arrested shortly after they were suspected of robbing the Neighborhood Market on Northeast Sandy Blvd.

Full charges are expected later, Portland Police said.

Here are the armed robberies the group is suspected of being responsible for doing:
