PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The registered sex offender known as the “TriMet Barber” was in court again on Tuesday.

Jarod Weston Walter was indicted Monday on several charges, including sexual abuse, sexual harassment, harassment and interfering with public transportation. Walter was arraigned on those charges Tuesday morning.

The 32-year-old is accused of inappropriately touching a woman while riding the MAX on March 25. He was arrested the next day.

Shortly after his arrest, another woman came forward and accused Walter of a similar crime. More charges of sex abuse, harassment, sexual harassment and interfering with public transportation were filed against him while he was already behind bars.

Walter is due in court again on Thursday for a bail hearing. His current bail is $109,000.

Over the last decade, Walter has been arrested multiple times due to crimes that happened on the transit system.

In July 2017, the registered sex offender was found guilty of cutting a woman’s hair on a TriMet bus. A year later, he was arrested again after violating his parole — for riding TriMet.

In June 2010, January 2011, June 2013 and March 2015, Walter committed similar crimes — spending time behind bars for each offense. In the 2013 case, he masturbated and ejaculated on women passengers sitting in front of him.
