PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A hit-and-run crash that may have been intentional injured 3 women on the Portland State University Campus on Friday morning.

Swarms of police cars and fire trucks responded to SW 6th Avenue and SW Hall Street after the crash was reported around 10 a.m. Police said two of the women life-threatening injuries and the other woman’s injuries were not as serious. 

In an update at 11:30 a.m., OHSU said one of the women remained in critical condition. The second woman was in serious condition and a third is in fair condition. 

Around 12:30 p.m., police swarmed a car in Northeast Portland — a blue Mazda Tribute — and took “an older, white man” into custody.
