PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Safe Rest Villages have been proposed in Portland to get hundreds of homeless people off of the streets.
Six were promised and three potential sites have been chose — so when will they open? Portland City Commissioner Dan Ryan is in charge of the project as the commissioner who oversees the housing bureau and the Joint Office of Homeless Services.
Ryan also talks about the Sam Adams memo on mass homeless shelters and much more in the video above.
