PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Jo Ann Hardesty, a Navy veteran, former state legislator, and former president of the Portland NAACP, is in the final days of her re-election campaign.

Portland City Commissioner Hardesty was the first black woman ever elected to the city council.
