PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — On Tuesday, May 11, Oregon State Lawmaker Mike Nearman was due in court to answer to trespassing and official misconduct charges stemming from what happened at the Oregon State Capitol on December 21, 2020.

Update: Following the publication of this podcast Tuesday morning, KOIN 6 News learned that a status hearing in Rep. Nearman’s criminal case had been scheduled for Wednesday, May 19 and the scheduled hearing for June 29 has been canceled. The reason for the changes was not listed, and Nearman is not required to be in court Wednesday. KOIN 6 News will track the developments in Marion County and bring you updated information as soon as we get it.
