GLENDALE, Ariz. (KOIN 6) — Super Bowl XLIX is now history, and as in years past, there are a number of things that everyone will be talking about on Monday. TOM BRADY: SUPER BOWL MVP
Just a week after defending himself from “Deflategate” accusations, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named the most valuable player of Super Bowl XLIX.
Not only did he make four touchdown passes to lead his team to its fourth Super Bowl championship, he has now made a total of 12 touchdown passes in his Super Bowl career, beating Joe Montana’s previous record of 11.
With four Super Bowl championships under his belt, Brady is in a tie with Montana and Terry Bradshaw for most titles by a starting quarterback.

The auto insurance company’s ad, titled “Make Safe Happen,” did not go over well with many on Facebook and Twitter.
Seemingly uplifting at first, the ad depicts the adventures of a fictional boy who actually died in a preventable accident. Whomp whomp.IRVIN EJECTED
Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin was ejected from the game, just before the Patriots won the game. A yellow flag was thrown after Irvin incited a near brawl between the two teams, leaving the referees to separate players with just 18 seconds left on the clock.
According to NBCSports.com, Irvin is the first player to be disqualified from a Super Bowl game.
KATY PERRY RULES HALFTIME
Katy Perry’s performance in the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show did not disappoint those who are familiar with the pop star’s go-big-or-go-home approach to putting on a show.
The performance started with the Perry singing “Roar” while riding in on a giant metal tiger. The entrance was followed by several other sequences, including dancing sharks and LED video tiles only visible from above.
The performance was full of special effects – from pyrotechnics to a throwback performance with rapper Missy Elliot.
The performance wrapped up with Perry floating high above the crowd on a giant shooting star, complete with fireworks all around the stadium as she sang “Firework.”
The ending inspired many to take to Twitter, likening the act to an old-school public service announcement from NBC.

WORST PLAY CALL EVER?
It was a second and goal and Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch — one of the best running backs in the game — was in the backfield, but the Seahawks didn’t give him the ball.
Why would Seattle throw a pass in that situation? Give the ball to Lynch and you’ll likely win the game.
Chris Collinsworth summed it up when he said, “If you give the ball to Lynch and he doesn’t score, you can live with yourself.” Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler made a sensational play on that interception, but he never should have been given that chance in the first place.LENNY KRAVITZ: THAT GUY FROM THE HUNGER GAMES?
For those over 30, Lenny Kravitz, who made an appearance in Katy Perry’s halftime show, is a rocker who has been likened by some to legendary artist Jimi Hendrix. But for those of the younger generation, he’s known as Cinna from “The Hunger Games” movie franchise.
