PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a significant five-player trade with the Denver Nuggets, Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski first reported Thursday morning.

The Blazers will receive Arron Afflalo and Alonzo Gee in exchange for several of the team’s role players — Thomas Robinson, Victor Claver and Will Barton — along with a future first- and second-round pick.

Afflalo, 29, should beef up the team’s shooting depth and is considered one of the better two-way guards to have been available leading up to Thursday’s trade deadline.

He’s average 14.5 points on 42 percent shooting this season.

The Blazers should be able to make up for the losses of Robinson, Claver and Barton with the addition of Afflalo and Gee, though Robinson — a former top 5 draft pick — has shown serious glimpses coming off the bench for Portland.
