PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Portland Police Bureau has launched investigations into a shootings that took place in Southeast Portland Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 17100 block of SE Powell Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, they found a person with a gunshot wound. The victim was soon taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to PPB.
A little less than two hours later officers responded to a report of a person being shot near SE Holgate Street and SE 108th Avenue. The victim flagged down the officers as they arrived by the suspect had fled by that point, according to PPB.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
“Officers secured the scene and looked for evidence and witnesses,” PPB said Tuesday. “The Enhanced Community Safety Team (ESCT) responded to investigate. Investigators believe an argument or disturbance may have preceded the shooting.”
Anyone with information about either case is encouraged to call police.
The incidents come alongside a third shooting in Southeast Portland overnight in which two of four suspects were arrested following a police pursuit that ended in Lents.
