PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One arrest has been made after a truck pulling a stolen trailer possibly carrying firearms and ammunition crashed on the Interstate Bridge, shutting down the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 for some time.
Authorities say they’ve taken one woman into custody after she led officers on a pursuit up I-5, crashing into several cars in an attempt to flee over the Interstate Bridge on Tuesday evening. The suspect reportedly got out of the truck after crashing into more vehicles and attempted to run from officers on foot.
The trailer involved in the crash is believed to be the same one stolen out of Hayden Island on Monday morning — but was driving a stolen truck different than the one stolen with the trailer, according to police.
It is not clear if the guns and ammo were still inside the trailer once police took the suspect into custody. The stolen truck originally associated with the trailer has yet to be found.
Authorities identified the suspect as 19-year-old Angelina Pintor-Schindler on Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing.
All northbound lanes of I-5 were closed for several hours as the situation unfolded. Lanes have since reopened.

According to PPB, a truck and trailer were stolen around 9:30 a.m. Monday near the Oxford Suites on North Jantzen Street. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) says the trailer was carrying over 30 firearms and several rounds of ammunition inside.
A business out of St. Helens showed the firearms at a gun show at the Expo Center this past weekend – and said workers could only watch as thieves took off.
The truck is a white Ford F-250 with Oregon license plate U421043. The trailer is described as having “United Trailers” stickers on it and Washington license plate C55676A.
“Anytime firearms are out on the streets that have gotten there by illegal means, it does provide a danger to the community. Lawful gun owners need to make sure that their firearms are kept safe and secure so that they don’t end up out there on the street,” Jason Chudy of ATF said.
Chudy told KOIN 6 News crimes like these not only pose a threat to the victim but also to the community.
“Not only is it a safety issue, but obviously this firearms dealer has just lost a large amount of firearms that came out of their inventory,” Chudy stated. “So, they’re going to take a financial hit on this, as well as the safety hit to the community.”
